Authentic restaurant with an iodized atmosphere offering a rich menu with red wines from France.
It's already over 10 years since this bar enchants the evenings of the Rochelais. It has to be said that the situation is perfectly ideal in the Gabut district, in the immediate vicinity of a bridge joining the now respoiled square Valin Square. We're at Sophie's house, taking advantage of an intimate interior where two large terraces take assault in the first beautiful days. This authentic place enjoys an encoded atmosphere and a warm atmosphere. The Rochelais know this, but the address is also known to tourists who like to find themselves in front of a traditional beer, but also a glass of wine. The map is particularly rich with red wines from France (saumur-champigny, mountain-saint-emmilion) but also from the world (Australia, South Africa…), rosés charentais, coast-provence… White wine lovers will not be disappointed with a delicious muscadet! Nothing goes as well with these beverages as Sophie's famous P 'tits. It is up to you to choose between a chain of charcuterie and a few delicacies: Coppa, rosette, chorizo, terrine, or a cheese base with goat, saint-nectary, brith, tomb of Savoie. There are even fish planks, La Rochelle obliges! There are salmon rillets, tuna, sardines, smoked salmon. Nothing but good things to spend a delicious moment between friends. Especially that at So Les weekend evenings are late and reserve an explosion of emotions and a flower of surprises, sometimes with organized concerts… and also exhibitions! Because at the Cav 'a' So artists can present their works and invite those interested in a opening (photos, paintings…).
