RUMEUR DES ÂGES
It is one of the oldest shops in La Rochelle, a unique place that all book lovers have already visited. Located in a quiet street, close to the city hall, this library is the birthplace of the painter Eugene Fromentin. The house then became a bank until the 1950s before taking the form we know today. André and Martine Reynaud bought the residence in the 1970s and kept its charm. It is in these mysterious bowels that Martine, the memory of the places and a passionate lover of books, will be able to guide you in her lair. The Petit Futé invites you to spend a few moments with this fervent history and literature. Leave the city crowd to offer yourself a timeless moment while contemplating ancient works. Pocket books can be purchased, old magazines are available, or a book from the 1920s is available.
