If you're a lover of literature, you'll find a place here that's becoming a rarity in the city centre. Calligrammes is one of the bookshops to take its place right in the heart of La Rochelle. Located on Place de Verdun, it's easy to get to by bus or bike, to pick up the latest literary releases. Under the arcades, you can take your time looking at the window display, which changes with the seasons. Once through the doors, Le Petit Futé loves strolling through the shelves on the first floor. Some of the novels have instructions, a good idea for those who find it hard to choose. Before climbing a few steps, take a look at the regionalism section, with its fine books on La Rochelle and Charente-Maritime. Upstairs, the shelves feature the Poche collection, as well as school and university books. Our specialised sales staff are on hand to answer all your questions and offer personalised advice. Note that the bookshop is small and sometimes a victim of its own success.
