LA ROCHELLE DIXIE JAZZ

Here we love jazz and let it know! For more than 10 years this association has only one goal: promote jazz in its original musical aspect but also develop its cultural and pedagogical impact in La Rochelle or throughout the department. These enthusiasts animate the city by playing classical jazz around New Orleans, Dixieland, Chicago, Swing, Boogie Boogie… In late May and 17 years, the Dixie-Folies vibrates Rochelais and Charentais-Maritimes at the rhythm of the bands. The different groups (Sing and Swing, Soul Rebels, Lou Orlean, New Rochelle Jazz Band…) have no limits and play in many places: leisure center, schools but also prisons and hospitals.
