Museum afloat located in the old trawler basin of the Old Port
The Maritime Museum offers three areas to visit. The colorful pavilions house exhibition spaces where you can learn more about the city's port history. You will go from the port of Rupella to that of the Minimes, from fishing to pleasure boating. Among the eight boats, you will have the pleasure to climb on the France 1, a weather frigate which is the figurehead of the museum, but also on the Angoumois, a trawler which used to leave for 15 days tides.

Lors de notre visite, nous avons profité d'une troupe qui nous a mis valeur la visite en nous expliquant l'histoire du port maritime de la Rochelle. La visite des bateau est incontournable et magique pour les enfants

Bonne scénographie avec des explications sur le port de la Rochelle. Je recommande l'exposition sur le Delmas : très bien documenté. Le billet comprend également la visite complète (cabines, machineries) d'un navire d'exploration scientifique.

I highly recommend the Maritime Museum of La Rochelle. The visit of France 1 and Angoumois is very interesting and is perfect for small and large. Also, as Petit Futé mentions it, have a drink on the bridge of France 1 is extremely pleasant! To make a night of summer, friends, at sunset!
