This museum evokes the history of Protestantism in the city, from its acquisition of free city status in the 12th century to the Edict of Toleration of 1787. As you enter, you'll see a copy of the La Rochelle Confession of Faith - 1571 -, a bible printed in La Rochelle - 1606 -, a table and pulpit that can be completely dismantled - dating from the period between 1685 and 1787, and a tapestry painting of the Ten Commandments dated 1779. The museum also has a library.
