A beautiful green space with play areas, offering a breath of fresh air on the outskirts of downtown La Rochelle.

Named after one of La Rochelle's gateways, this lovely green space was once located to the north of the old fortifications. Just a few minutes' walk from the market, it's also close to a busy avenue. It's a great opportunity to take a nice break, sitting on the grass for a family snack or a spot of reading. Children can let off steam in the small play area, which includes a pretty boat, teenagers can play basketball and older children can enjoy a bucolic break.

Joli petit parc
Un joli parc à côté de la Porte Royale, qui permet de s'aérer au cœur de la ville. Il est simple et bucolique, parfait pour une petite promenade.

Le parc près de la porte royale est un jardin public peu étendu mais la Porte Royale est un beau vestige de la ville quand elle était parfaitement close.
C'est le siège parfois d'expositions temporaires .
