It's certainly one of La Rochelle's institutions! For more than 25 years, Ernest has been delighting young and old alike. Close to the Old Port, the two stores are within easy reach, inevitably triggering an irresistible craving for ice cream. Take advantage of the wait to find the flavor you like from a wide range. We love full-fruit sorbets, ice creams and novelties just waiting to be discovered, like baba au rhum or tatin! You can also devour waffles (sugar, coulis, chantilly).

It is the glacier known here. One often go there when you welcomes friends in La Rochelle. It is delicious and there is an incredible choice. On the other hand I hate to queue to be served at home: (That can last... The waiters are not always super friendly/help with our foreign friends (by fracture of time I suppose). No table to sit either. But once you, you forget these annoyance.
Unmissable in La Rochelle! Homemade ice cream delicious and original flavours: fruit and red peppers, citrine/basil... I recommend the esquimeau black chocolate sorbet raspberry... on the old port!
