Church with a 85 m high bell tower that served as a landmark for sailors
Here is a monument that you can't miss! This church has the highest bell tower in Charente-Maritime. Built at the beginning of the XIIth century, it was strongly marked by the Wars of Religion before being restored at the beginning of the XVIIth century. If the building has been classified as a historical monument since 1840, it is above all its bell tower that stands out. To admire the unique view on the Marennes basin, you will have to climb nearly 300 steps!
