SAINT-VINCENT CHURCH
This church, built in the century and listed as a Monument Historique, is dedicated to Saint Vincent de Xaintes
"All hours hurt, the last one kills" - even non-believers can ponder this adage inscribed on the bell tower's sundial! A listed historic monument, dedicated to Saint Vincent de Xaintes and built in the 11th century, it was rebuilt in the 16th century following a fire, and then renovated. Imposing and defensive with its high walls and musket loopholes, its interior is more delicate with magnificent carved wooden galleries. Several changes have been made, including the installation of a new organ in 2009.
