If Mornac is known for its salt which is still harvested in a single salt marsh, the village is also for two other exceptional products. The live gambas that is also known as imperial shrimp, as it was one of the favourite dishes of the Japanese emperors, is the only living gambas available on the French and European market. This company completely mastered the production cycle, from the rearing of the fry to the shipment of shrimps. The other product is well known to all residents of Charente-Maritime since it is the special oyster label Red label. The famous pousse is now the high end of the Marenne-Oléron basin and makes the oyster pride. This exceptional product, high in clear for 4 months, is recognized for its pronounced taste of long marsh in mouth.
