This restaurant is located in a city where there used to be gabons carrying salt, wine and cognac. It's a great opportunity to offer a beautiful stop in a village just 15 minutes from Saintes. Don't think lunch on the edge of the Charente, the charming building takes place in the heart of the town and has a new terrace offering a very valuable setting. We come here to discover the traditional cuisine of Sébastien Jousse which takes pleasure in working fresh and seasonal produce. Several menus are offered, all featuring French gastronomy through rich and carefully presented dishes. The flavors are to the credit and the value for money is very appreciable, especially for the lunch menu. In season, the Gabarier offers musical Saturdays with a special menu!

Encore mieux que ce à quoi nous nous attendions. Les assiettes sont soignées y compris pour celles du menu enfant et c'est vraiment très bon. Le service est très agréable et le personnel a été vigilent quant au timing puisque nous avions prévenu que nous avions canoë à 13h30. Belle terrasse ombragée, on a passé un agréable moment.

Repas du midi en terrasse au calme malgré la proximité avec la route. Service rapide, tout était délicieux et fait maison! Tarif raisonnable compte tenu de la qualité.
