This venue, the only one of its kind in France, owes its importance to Alain Tenenbaum's desire to "create a constantly evolving art space". In 2001, the Lapidiales took over the former Chabossières quarry in Port-d'Envaux. Over the years, one sculptor followed another, keeping the site alive and attracting the attention of walkers who come to immerse themselves in this natural setting. In 2023, eight megaliths were sculpted by Mathieu Perie, Angélique Jung... The artists were inspired by the cultures of Oceania.
