AÉRO-CLUB CHARENTAIS
The Aéro Club Charentais is one of France's oldest flying clubs, founded in 1926 at the Beaune airfield in Rochefort-sur-Mer. Surrounded by numerous airfields, this aeroclub benefits from a region ideal for amateur light aviation. Aviation enthusiasts will enjoy the superb aerial excursions offered by the coastal region and its islands. The Aéro Club Charentais offers training courses for airplane and glider pilots. To become a student airplane pilot, you must be at least 14 years old, 15 years old for the Brevet de Base and 17 years old for the Brevet de Pilote Privé. To become a student glider pilot, you must have reached the age of 16. Documents such as a civil status form, parental authorization for minors, recent passport photos and a certificate of medical fitness are required for registration. Prices for student pilot manuals, flight logs and DGAC application fees are available on request from the flying club.
