The Jardin des Retours, a unique space laid out around 3 themes, invites you to stroll around Rochefort.
More than just a garden, it's a floral and plant composition that makes you want to come back again and again. It is the brainchild of landscape architect Bernard Lassus, who created a place that pays homage to the city's maritime history. Along the banks of the Charente, visitors can enjoy a moment of strolling, contemplating reeds and rushes dancing in the breeze, before losing themselves in the labyrinth of yew trees carved into the shape of a wave. Closer to the Corderie, you'll find exotic plants and, finally, close to the city, the Jardin de la Marine.
