Seasonal cuisine based on fresh produce in a bistro in Saint-Clément-des-Baleines.
We're definitely in the West! This bistro is located in the center of one of the villages best known to tourists for its lighthouse. What a pleasure to sit around a colorful barrel, sheltered from the wind, and enjoy a coffee with friends. And why not continue with lunch? One thing's for sure: the welcome is downright friendly, and the staff are only too eager to please you. Of course, with friends, you can enjoy a homemade spritz and the chef's tapas. The menu is short, with fresh, seasonal produce. Starters include oysters from the Ile de Ré, Andalusian gazpacho and a plate of homemade smoked salmon. Dishes are bursting with local flavors: cod and piquillo coulis, fisherman's fillet, garnished with small island potatoes sautéed in butter and herbs. The atmosphere is convivial, and the desserts, like the orange rice pudding, leave a last drop of deliciousness.
