SANT-CLÉMENT-DES-BALEINES BEACH
An immense beach of fine sand with a wild character, at Saint-Clément-des-Baleines, ideal for sea bathers
The village of Saint-Clément-des-Baleines is best known for the lighthouse of the same name. But the village also has two beaches. On the west coast, the Côte Sauvage is reserved for fishermen on foot, because the rocks make swimming difficult. Those who like to swim in the sea go to the Conche des Baleines, which starts at the lighthouse and stretches to Les Portes-en-Ré. This immense beach of fine sand has kept a wild character which makes everyone happy!
