At 46 m, it has been the island's highest point for two centuries. Climbing the 224 steps takes a little effort, but the view will make you forget all about it. If sailors see it as a landmark, tourists see it as an exceptional panorama. The garden and museum dedicated to the "people of the coast between land and sea" are just as enjoyable. Le lendemain, nous avons effectué la visite nocturne du phare avec la même guide. Tout aussi intéressant. Magnifique coucher de soleil et la mise en fonction du phare impressionnante.

Prix très correct
Tout au bout de l’île se trouve le phare de Chassiron, lieu incontournable d'Oleron. Attention la monté est rude est physique mais le point de vue y est remarquable. A faire aussi les jardins autour du phare.
