Lighthouse offering a view of the north of the island of Oleron, the ocean, the Pertuis d'Antioche, the Rochelaise coast and the islands of Aix and Ré

At 46 m, it has been the island's highest point for two centuries. Climbing the 224 steps takes a little effort, but the view will make you forget all about it. If sailors see it as a landmark, tourists see it as an exceptional panorama. The garden and museum dedicated to the "people of the coast between land and sea" are just as enjoyable. Guided tours are available to enjoy the sunset and discover the environmental richness of the site. Evening tours in summer.

exit to do in family, mounted 124 steps it is feasible and garden around is magnificent

stroll around this lighthouse at the end of the world is well worth a visit, but at the cliff edge (preserved wild is this price). A lot of wind. the gardens pink winds are interesting. I loved the site almost more than the visit in the same however very well presented
