LA POINTE DE SUZAC
La Pointe de Suzac, one of the main protected areas in the Guyana conurbation, located in Saint-Georges-de-Didonne
Facing the Pointe de Grave and Port-Médoc, the Pointe de Suzac is one of the main protected areas in the greater Royan area. To get there, take the footpath that runs along the cliff, and you'll enjoy a lovely view of the Côte de Beauté. A protected natural area, the site is also marked by a multi-species forest. The Pointe has always been an important strategic site, as evidenced by the presence of Gallo-Roman foundations, a Napoleonic fort and blockhouses, most of which were destroyed by bombardment.
