CORDILLERAS MUSEUM
Musée des Cordeliers in Saint-Jean-d'Angély, presenting the town's collections and those of the archaeological society.
Founded in 1935, the museum is housed in the Hôtel d'Hausen, renovated by architect Hervé Beaudouin. Collections from the town and the archaeological society are housed in this building, which offers modern museum spaces. The museum tour invites visitors to discover the Citroën expeditions bequeathed by Louis Audouin-Dubreuil, a native of Angers, the expedition leader himself, and Maurice Penaud, the chief mechanic. Until September, the temporary exhibition presents Les Vals de Saintonge during the Second World War.
