Installed for more than 15 years in a magnificent 18th century residence, this museum traces the history of the island of Oleron from the Neolithic period to the present day. The smiling welcome makes you want to stroll around, first on the first floor to discover a beautiful museographic space that presents the Oleronian headdresses and costumes, the way of life in the 19th century and objects to understand the importance of wine growing. Upstairs, temporary exhibitions highlight the island of Oleron. The place is designed for families with an activity booklet adapted to children.
