LE MARCHÉ
When you come to Saint-Pierre-d'Oléron, you'll probably want to stroll to La Cotinière to breathe in the iodized air and admire the comings and goings of the boats returning to port. But if you want to stock up on fresh, local produce, head for Les Halles. Located in the heart of the town, close to pedestrian streets and a parking lot, this modestly sized market is renowned for its friendly atmosphere. You'll find the inevitable seafood products, as well as fruit and vegetables, pastries... In summer, it's time for the big market!
