THE BRIS MARSH
A 37-hectare protected natural site, where walkers can admire and enjoy the flora and fauna.
This 37-hectare protected natural site was acquired and developed by the Conseil Général de la Charente-Maritime. Between sea and forest, this area is dedicated to all nature-lovers who wish to contemplate a rich flora, notably wild orchids and samphire. On this former farmland reclaimed from the sea, paths allow visitors to stroll peacefully while observing birds such as grey herons and little egrets. Between lagoons and reedbeds, the marshes are soothing.
