CAMPING LES GRENETTES ^{* * * *}

We booked 7 months in advance, asking to be pitched with friends. We were all placed at opposite ends of the site from each other. One set of friends were shown to their pitch which was a small piece of waste land at the end of the football court with broken fence panels & tiles on it, & no electric which they booked. Another friend was sent to a pitch which already had a static caravan on. Another was shown to a pitch that wasn’t big enough for their motor home. Our pitch was okay, but really messy with big manhole covers in it & not near our friends. This ruined our holiday as we could not socialise easily once the children went to bed. Showers were cold most of the time. There was no soap or sink to wash your hands at the toilets. There weren’t enough toilets or showers. There was no proper drinking water, just a hose coming out of the toilets which lay in the dirt. To wash up, you had to carry your dirty dishes to the washing up room, passing all the people sitting in the restaurant enroute! Pools were lovely but not enough seating & a more shallow pool would have been better for smaller children. The pool/restaurant area looked nice, but more attention needs to be given to the basics!

Disappointing stay at Les Grenettes, mobile homes are poorly laid out and quite close together, campsite facilities are disjointed and ad-hoc. No lifeguards at pool. Snack bar very average, poor seating. Quite expensive for what is at best a 3 star campsite

Fantastic stay, quiet campsite, river spectacular, looking forward to next year!

Pas de point d'eau, pas d'évier au coco sweet, douche tiède voir froide au sanitaire le plus proche, supérette attend la livraison depuis notre arrivée...
