Former Saint-Gilles chaplaincy, classified as a historical monument, undergoing archaeological surveys
The chaplaincy is located on rue du Faubourg-Saint-Gilles, on the road leading to Saint-Jean-d'Angély, but it also has the distinction of being on the route to Santiago de Compostela. Founded in the late 11th century, the building was taken over by the Minimes de la province de Touraine in the early 17th century, before being sold. Archaeological surveys have revealed evidence of the Compostelle pilgrimage. The monument is listed as a Monument Historique.
