An opportunity to admire a jewel of Saintonge Romanesque art, with its sober square bell tower and the voussures of its portal

Walkers have plenty of time to admire this church after having strolled through one of the most beautiful villages in France. While walking along the ramparts, one can only admire this monument built in the 12th century by the Benedictines. Jewel of the Romanesque art of Saintonge, Sainte-Radegonde is as much magnified by the sea as weakened by its assaults. Its sober square bell tower, the restored arches of its north portal decorated with angels and acrobats and the marine cemetery which borders it - colored by the traditional hollyhocks - give it all its charm

L'église Sainte Radégonde de Talmont est un bijou d'art gothique .Elle se trouve en surplomb de l'estuaire de la Gironde mais elle est en danger,la falaise est victime des agressions de la mer . Talmont est un des plus beau village de France avec ses ruelles fleurie de roses trémiéres et de ses ravissantes pêcheries .

Une très belle église au bord de l'estuaire. Elle donne du charme au village qui est déjà très joli. Petit village classé plus beau village de France qui vaut le détour. A voir absolument un jour.

Eglise simple dans son ensemble et typique des églises du XIIeme siècle. Au coeur du petit village de charme de Talmont en bordure de falaise où nous pouvons admirer une jolie vue sur l'océan et la ville de Royan se situant juste en face une fois sorti de l'église.
