500m2 of exhibition space explaining the canal's construction, operation, demise and rebirth. An impressive collection of administrative documents, period plans and everyday objects, not forgetting engineering structures such as lock gates and two authentic canal barges. Video presentation, discovery of the steward's house, tour of the barge and its living conditions. Picnic area. Gift store. From the museum, a three-hour hiking trail and an interpretation trail along the canal.
