Ricou quarry, with 7 natural habitats and a 1 km walking trail, offering a multitude of free activities
The quarry of Ricou, exploited until the 1950s, is now a sensitive natural area. Its quarry face illustrates certain geological periods: its ammonites attest to the presence of a sea. The 7 natural habitats that make up the site are home to several protected species, including the Azuré du Serpolet, a butterfly associated with the dry grassland oregano (located above the quarry face). The site is equipped with a 1 km walking trail. A multitude of free activities are organised there in summer by the association l'Homme et la pierre.
