Museum presenting the history of the bocage, through archaeological finds, paintings, sculptures and ceramics
In the former granaries of Bressuire. The museum presents the history of the bocage: archaeological discoveries, paintings, sculptures, goldsmith's and silversmith's objects and ceramics from Saint-Porchaire, Bressuire's former pottery district, a local production that began in medieval times. An exhibition is also devoted to the work of glassmaker, stained-glass artist and designer Max Ingrand (1908-1969), a true master of light, around one of his masterpieces: the Scène de plage ensemble (1936). Workshops all year round (calligraphy, engraving, treasure hunts, etc.).
