THE GREEN RIBBON
An original walk on the old railway line that linked Niort to Ruffec. Inaugurated in 1999, the Green Ribbon is open to walkers of course, but also to cyclists and riders. Passing between Tauché, Mougon and Melle, this path allows you to discover the region in a different way while enjoying original and changing views.
You will cross forests or walk along meadows, all on a specially prepared path. 9 kilometres long, the Green Ribbon can be adapted to suit the walkers' wishes and is suitable for discovering the royal abbey of Celles-sur-Belle, the Chaillots pond or the Saint-Hilaire church in Melle. In the same way, the more courageous can extend it by the "paths of discovery", the arboretum which runs for 6 kilometres around Melle.
