Church rebuilt in the 15th century by the bishops Guy and Louis de Rochechouart, with a coat of arms on the bell tower
Supposedly founded by Viscountess Aldéarde de Thouars in 1099, Saint-Pierre church is first mentioned in 1111. Ruined during the Hundred Years' War, it was rebuilt in the 15th century by bishops Guy and Louis de Rochechouart, whose coats of arms can be seen on the bell tower, and then integrated into the village fortifications (with a bretèche on the facade). It was damaged during the Wars of Religion. The nave features a 1537 bell and 19th-century stained glass windows by Constant-Auguste Boinot.
