You follow step by step the very formal wedding of the Rosière through the real wedding of young lovebirds. Unique in France.
Since 1821, 377 Rosières have received the famous dowry (€2,000); the last, Jennifer, in 2023. This traditional Mothai wedding continues to be celebrated in its entirety. Engaged couples under the age of 40 with ties to Mellois are called on every year to apply to be the focal point of the event. The program includes 3 days of festivities, including fireworks, a religious ceremony (Madame must wear the caillon), a bride and groom parade, a Rosières ball, a cavalcade of floats and more. The Rosières running race takes place on Sunday.
