Bert town hall, located on Boulevard de l'Hôtel de Ville, is the headquarters of the "PAYS DE LAPALISSE" Community of Communes. It is administered by a Community Council made up of 25 delegates from the member communes. The town hall is responsible for a number of compulsory and additional responsibilities defined in the Communauté de Communes' bylaws. Communal Council meetings are also available online. The Bureau Communautaire, for its part, exercises its powers over all the areas of competence of the Conseil Communautaire, with the exception of certain specific points. The town hall also has a number of thematic commissions, such as the Tourism, Animation and Communication Commission, the Youth, Sports, Culture and Digital Commission, and the Public Services Commission.
