LA CORRIDA DE MAGNÉ
No you're not in the Basque Country and you won't see fierce bulls sucking you back to motivate your legs to increase the pace. You are well in the southwest, but in the southwest… des Deux-Sèvres, in Magné more accurately, right in the heart of the Poitevin Marsh. At the end of the year, there is a major event in the walking race, the Internationale international of Magné. Since 1995 and its creation, this little race has made it a way to gather up to 1 700 runners in the foothills of the winter. If you do not find the taurillons of the famous Basque festivals, nor the heat of summer, it is the human who warms in this race where the party is a duty and a disguise more than an option. Moreover, each one can décrasser the body between two awaken on a circuit through the green pastures of the Poitevin Marsh over a distance of 10 km. If the festive side of the event attracts lovers of race and camaraderie, we must not forget that the Bullfighting of Magné has been able to take a name in the world of the race on foot. For better proof, just take a look at the 2007 list. Winner in the gentlemen: Simon Munyutu, in 30 minutes please, who is no other than a qualified marathoner for the J.O. of 2008 organised in Beijing under the colours of France.
