LA CHAPELLE JEAN-BOUCARD
Superb flamboyant Gothic chapel, in ogival style, located near Château-Boucard and hosting FIFO events.
A magnificent example of flamboyant Gothic architecture, this chapel was built in 1530 on the initiative of Jean Boucard, former treasurer of the chapter and buried inside. It is distinguished by the richness of its sculpted ornamentation, its ogival style and its size. Passed through the hands of the Sisters of Wisdom and the municipality, this chapel, also known as the Hospices-de-l'Aumônerie, now hosts events as part of the FIFO. Just a stone's throw away, on Place du Cloître, is the Château-Boucard and its Raoul-Royer museum of rural traditions.
