ANGÉLIQU’À NIORT

For the past few years, we've been trying to bring the emblematic plant of the Marais, the beautiful angelica, back into the limelight. In order to clearly identify its anchorage in the local heritage and so that its name can be reciprocally brought closer to the city of insurance, the Association for the Promotion of the Angelica Niort-Marais Poitevin with the support of the city and the tourist office Niort Marais Poitevin, has put it back in the spotlight through various events including this festival dedicated to it, Angéliqu'A Niort, a play on words taken from the Latin name of this plant. During a weekend, this product will take root in the city and the shop windows of the downtown shops will be decorated in the colors of the angelica. On the programme, there will be many events (dessert competitions, cooking initiation for adults and children, tastings and sales).
