In 1998, Mr. Pierre Benoît, descendant of the Gobeil family, came to meet with the Chaleuil Association of the Country Niortais in order to visit his built heritage directly related to his ancestor. This th century building has a stable, a bergerie and a farm. Bought by town hall and left in management at the Association, the site offers various activities and animations during the season, testifying to the great tradition of the region (local crafts, local producers'arché, picnic area and organic meals, exhibitions, stands, video/movies, manège, shows, workshops for children, music, animals…). All year round, come and learn from traditional dances, basketry, embroidery, sewing, weaving and cadre, or the technical workshop that will allow you to participate in the maintenance and restoration of this magnificent building.
