As long as the water level permits, and upon reservation at the tourist office, you are invited to visit (15 persons maxi) the Souterrain underground on Saturday afternoon. Long 430 metres long, the longest of the department, which from the ascent of the Prison to the Hidden Bridge winds under the lower part of the city. Throughout the course of multiple stations are organized to deal with the various technical and historical aspects of the construction of the maçonnée vault between 1898 and 1912, the "old vault", another picturesque book of Old Bourbon, the sewerage network and longest which allows tributaries to cross the creek, to life in the Autrefois neighbourhood, to bridges in masonry delivering passage on the rue de la Burge, and the whole fortress, including its typical mill.
