Explore the megaliths of the Deux-Sèvres region at Plane-et-Vallées and plunge back into Neolithic times.
One of the most important megalithic sites in the Deux-Sèvres, with 6 dolmens and 1 tumulus listed as Historic Monuments, restored in 1990. Archaeological excavations have revealed several Neolithic cultures, including the Chasseans (4350-3300 BC) and the Peu-Richard (3400-2900 BC). Bones and a fine collection of artefacts have been unearthed, including arrowheads, tool fragments and ceramics. Animations in summer.
