A restaurant with private terrace in Thouars, serving bistronomic cuisine with elegant, colorful and tasty dishes

It is a place not to be missed in Thouars. The Café des Arts, located at 53 rue Saint-Médard since 1912, offers a magnificent Art Deco style interior which was used by Pascal Thomas to shoot a scene from Pleure pas la bouche pleine, in 1973, with Jean Carmet. Benches, mirrors, everything is there. On the plates, the century-old establishment offers a bistronomic cuisine that delights many. The dishes are elegant, colorful and tasty. Let us point out the pleasant private terrace on the garden side and a second entrance at 72, rue de la Trémoille.

Très belle découverte ! La formule bistrot reste un rapport qualité/prix imbattable au regard de ce qu'il y a dans l'assiette. Les saveurs sont là, la présentation est impeccable ainsi que l'accueil et le cadre. En centre ville l'établissement se distingue clairement par son ambiance et ses propositions culinaires qui ont en plus le bon goût de changer très régulièrement. Bref, sans conteste une adresse à ne pas manquer à Thouars, pour ma part j'ai trouvé ma cantine du midi pour les jours où j'ai envie de sortir du bureau.
