Artificial lake of Hautibus dominated by an open air place, classified Natura 2000, with a swimming pool, a camping and a restaurant
The artificial lake of Hautibus was built in 1969, creating a 7-hectare lake. It is surrounded by woods and hillsides, and dominated by the site of La Salette and the ruins of the old castle. The site is classified Natura 2000. The Hautibus open-air base is located in Argenton-les-Vallées, right by the lake. Here, sport, games and relaxation are particularly emphasized. This open-air venue offers canoeing and kayaking trips and other activities. You can also fish here. The catches are often quite good since every year a fish nursery allows to replenish the lake. A swimming pool, a campsite and a restaurant are also nearby.
