Restaurant offering dishes with French flavors and a British touch.

Hazel and Richard have built up a fine reputation in the area, if only for the timeless warmth of their establishment, a British-style pub as we love them: a warm decor, the crackling fire in the stove, comfortable furnishings and the overwhelming friendliness of the owners. And let's not forget the creative, yet hearty and well-presented cuisine, combining French flavors with Anglo-Saxon touches (lots of fish and sauces). The graphic (and homemade) desserts also made our mouths water. Vegetarian options available.

Cherchant un restaurant ce jour nous faisons un detour conséquent pour un restaurant QUI A L'AIR sympathique. J'appelle donc le matin. Le repondeur m'invite a renouveler mon appel. Qu'importe nous sommes en voiture et le restaurant ouvre à midi selon google. Arrivés sur place nous decouvrons que le restaurant est fermé pendant encore au moins un mois. Nous aurions grandement apprécié ne serait-ce qu'un message de fermeture sur le répondeur.

Nous sommes désolés pour tout inconvénient, cependant, il y a un message de fermeture sur notre répondeur à moins que vous ne téléphoniez pendant que vous êtes engagé, ainsi qu'un répondeur automatisé par e-mail et une notification à notre porte pendant que Hazel se remet d'une opération. Je ne mets pas cinq car on peut toujours améliorer ici ou là mais ce resto le mérite.
Les saveurs sont travaillées et perfectionnées, les mélanges sont osés et subtils, la présentation des plats est raffinée sans être ott.
Le cadre est charmant, chaleureux et sait rester simple.
Le service est sobre, agréable, souriant, présent et à la bonne distance à la fois.
Le rapport qualité prix est bon.
