A remarkable portal dating from the XVIIth century, registered as a Historic Monument, in Bonneuil-Matours.
This portal has been registered as a Historic Monument since 1930. Quite imposing because of its size, it bears a coat of arms surmounted by a crown with an inscription added after 1853 by Mr. de Croy, the owner at the time: deo juvente which means "With the help of God". This portal dating from the 17th century was originally located in the castle of Traversay. Moved in 1929, the gate was then hit by English shells in 1944 - a German camp was set up just opposite. Behind it, one can imagine the beautiful castle belonging to private individuals.
