At the exit of the village, this powerful and rather well preserved building sits majestically. Built in 1480, the castle of Bourg-Archambault has survived attacks over the centuries. It will be classified as a house after the Revolution (!) then bought by the sub-prefect Pierre Augier de Crémiers in 1835, while it is in ruins. Thus began a long period of renovation. The castle was classified as a historical monument in 1927. Today it is the secondary residence of the heirs.
