SAN MARTIN CHURCH

Built in the 12th century at the request of Hugues de Lusignan, the church has remained intact ever since. One of its particularities is its roof made of lauzes (flat stones), a rare case in the department. Another originality is its stone slabs. Indeed, the floor of the church conceals numerous engraved funeral slabs, being a privileged burial place reserved for ecclesiastics and lords. In the 18th century, a funeral tablet decorated with eighteen coats of arms was painted to pay tribute to the members of the family of Saint-Georges de Vérac, lords of Brux.
