How long does it take to visit Futuroscope?
If you're visiting the park as an adult, it's perfectly possible to spend just one day. However, we advise you to arrive as soon as the park opens, so you can enjoy it before it gets too crowded. And... the earlier you arrive, the more time you'll have for the attractions!
Are you coming to Futuroscope with your family? If so, it's best to plan for two days. Children don't walk at the same pace as their parents, and they quickly become exhausted when there's a lot of climbing to do. By planning two days, you give the whole family time to discover the park at their leisure, without stress.
How can I save time when visiting Futuroscope?
To begin with, it's a good idea to plan your visit to this theme park carefully. Consult the calendar to find out the exact opening times for the period you're interested in. You can also consult a map of the park beforehand, so you won't hesitate once you're there. If you know where you need to go, you'll save precious time!
The next step is to buy your tickets in advance, to avoid long queues on the day. You can also buy a pass, which offers many advantages. There are 3 available:
- The Premium+ Pass, for no-wait access to your 5 favorite attractions.
- The Gold Pass, to see all the attractions without waiting.
- The VIP Pass, for the best deals and the day of your dreams.
So equipped, you'll save an incredible amount of time visiting the Futuroscope park!

In high season, the opening hours are longer: from 9.30 a.m. to 11 p.m. We advise you to check this information on the Futuroscope website before you visit. Sleeping at Futuroscope
When you've come a long way, it's nice to put your bags down for a night and enjoy the park for 2 days. To do so, head for the Hôtel Station Cosmos Futuroscope! For one night, you can become an intergalactic hero in a room that looks like the cabin of a spaceship. A unique experience! At the entrance to the park, you'll also find the Hôtel Ecolodgee Futuroscope. In this cocoon of softness, the atmosphere is quite different, as you enjoy the surrounding nature in all its splendor.
There are many other hotels within easy reach of the park, such as Hôtel Première Classe and Hôtel du Futuroscope, more suited to smaller budgets.
When is the best time to visit Futuroscope?
Unsurprisingly, weekdays outside the school vacation period are best. Since this is the time when children are at school, parents rarely take vacations during these periods. If you have no choice but to go during school vacations, Christmas and winter are the quietest. As most of the attractions are indoors, it's not really a problem.
Planning to visit Futuroscope in July and August? If so, Saturdays and Sundays are best. It may seem surprising, but during the vacations, that's when tourists are on the road. So it's less crowded!
Generally speaking, the most pleasant months in the Vendée are May, June and September. The weather is fine and temperatures mild.
Our top tips for a successful visit to Futuroscope
Do you want to make the most of your day? Of course you do! In that case, take precautions by asking yourself the right questions before you set off. Here are a few tips made in Petit Futé, to make your day at Futuroscope a success:
- Download the app: it gives you the location of the various attractions, as well as an estimated waiting time.
- Keep your children busy in the queues: the app will help here too, with games for the youngest visitors. You can also provide riddles or magazines as needed.
- Eat at staggered times: you'll be able to get to the attractions more quickly, since queues will be shorter. If you have children, we advise you to eat early, around 11:30 a.m., as they certainly won't have the patience to wait until 2 p.m.!
- Opt for the Premium line-cutting pass: for €40, you get priority access to the attractions, without having to queue. The only drawback: you won't see the sets leading up to the attractions. But you'll save precious time, especially at the height of the season.
- Arrive as early as possible, so you can enjoy the park before the crowds arrive.
- Good shoes are a must: the Futuroscope park is vast! You'll be doing a lot of running to get to as many attractions as possible, so make sure you wear comfortable shoes to avoid blisters.
- Make sure you're well-equipped for the season: don't forget your water supply, especially in summer. A cap will also be welcome this time of year, although many attractions are indoors.
