THE HOUSE OF YESTERYEAR
This museum of folk art and traditions houses objects, clothing and furniture from the late century to the 1950s
Formerly a bistro purchased by the commune of Chasseneuil-du-Poitou, this museum of folk art and traditions opened in 1987 and comprises 9 themed rooms displaying objects, clothing and furniture from the late 19th century to the 1950s. A true reconstruction of those years: a classroom, a boissellerie, a laundry and a blacksmith's shop. A temporary exhibition room with a variety of themes has been open to the public since 2021. Come and immerse yourself in the memories of another time!
