The Chitré mill, a true pioneer of the industrial revolution, takes you back in time.
The mill of Chitré is an old banal mill inherited from the Middle Ages, linked to the castle of the same name. After the production of flour and oil, the mill was equipped with avant-garde machinery at the end of the 19th century: an electric generator, a water pump and a cooler, all of which worked thanks to a powerful "Sagebien" wheel. Few sites at that time concentrated in one place all the new technologies inherited from the industrial revolution. The attic of the mill has been converted into a museum space on the theme of water.
