The town's landmark, this Renaissance-style road bridge spans the Vienne River, linking the town center to the Châteauneuf district.

Completely renovated in 2022-2023, this Renaissance-style road bridge is an emblem of the city. Its design can be attributed to Philibert Delorme, and construction began in the late 16thcentury . It spans the Vienne River, linking the city center to the Châteauneuf district. It is built of Pinail stone and tuffeau and features nine arches, all fitted with large cow horns. Two imposing slate-covered towers stand on the left bank, evoking the structure's defensive function as well as its role as a checkpoint at the entrance to the town.

Point privilégié pour le 14 juillet;
The Henri IV bridge running between the district Chateauneuf with Châtellerault. A wonderful party and a retrospective were orgnisée for its 400 years!
